Although most of my time is spent photographing weddings and families, I love the opportunity to work with local businesses to capture images that will help to promote their business.
The annual Henley Youth Festival (HYF) has just finished, and I feel so privileged to have been part of it, photographing many of the incredible events that our children had the opportunity to be a part of under this year’s theme of ‘Journeys’.
Every year as part of the Henley Youth Festival, children have the opportunity to showcase their talents on stage in a professional theatre. The Kenton Theatre in Henley on Thames showcases different interests in HYF Proms, HYF Entertain, HYF Sing, HYF Young Dancer and HYF Dance.
I love hearing from people I have previously photographed, and a few weeks ago it was lovely to get a message from Frances, a bride whose wedding I had photographed more than four years ago. Her wedding to Jonathan really stands out in my memory, as they are both world class musicians and music was an important part of their wedding.
Although most of my work involves photographing people, sometimes I am asked to photograph something slightly more unusual. A very good friend of mine was looking to start up her own business selling rugs from Turkey & asked if I would photograph them for her.
Jason Leonard is England’s most capped player and RFU President Elect for 2015 World Cup year, so a pretty significant person in the world of rugby. On a cold, wet and windy May afternoon, Jason Leonard visited Henley Rugby Club ahead of the Lion’s tour to Australia.
