Jane & Martin’s wedding at Burnham Beeches Hotel
Fun, laughter & happiness. That’s what I wish all my couples for their future. Jane clearly already had this by the bucketload just from her daughter Danni. As Jane and her daughter got ready at Burnham Beeches Hotel they had the make-up artist Nicola Hood and I in hysterics and I just knew this was going to be a great day.
Her son Frankie was slightly more relaxed about the whole thing, only really getting ready at the last minute with the help of Jane’s Dad Martin. It reminded me of trying to get my own kids getting ready for school.
I loved working with make-up artist Nicola, she was great fun and ensured Jane looked absolutely stunning all day in a gorgeous dress from the Ascot Bridal Studio.
The boys looked far from shabby too. Martin’s best man was his brother Eamonn, supported by Jane’s son Frankie and Martin’s nephew Connor. His sister’s 4 children looked absolutely gorgeous as flowergirls and page boys
I had never worked at Burnham Beeches Hotel before, but I love it as a venue. The room where the ceremony (and wedding breakfast) took place was very elegant, and it has some gorgeous ground for the drinks reception and photos.
Jane and Martin’s ceremony was as relaxed and fun as they were, but I wish I could remember what Jane was laughing about!
Burnham Beeches is a great location for photos, with a lovely lawn that’s perfect for your drinks reception, couple shots and family group shots!
It’s great when a couple lay on entertainment for their guests, and a magician always goes down really well. Simon Alexander was brilliant, entertaining guests during the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. I have to concentrate really hard on continuing to take photos when all I really want to do is stand there and enjoy the show!
I loved the personal touches that Jane and Martin added to their wedding, though if they’re honest I imagine Jane did most of them, am I right? A wedding tree, where guests can leave their names and fingerprints like leaves on a tree make a great alternative to a guest book, and candles are a beautiful way to remember loved ones no longer with us. Photos of Jane’s Mum, Martin’s Dad & Martin’s brother had been incorporated into charms on her bouquet by Jane’s clever friend Sue who also made all the flower arrangements for the room – I can’t believe she doesn’t do it professionally, they looked amazing.
I don’t usually take many photos during the wedding breakfast (no one wants photos of themselves eating), but the magician helped provide a distraction for people between courses, and the speeches were as relaxed as the rest of the day.
Martin’s Irish background led to them booking a group of young Irish dancers to get the evening reception off to a great start, and they were incredible. The 5 tier wedding cake was made by Treacle Cakes, a business I understand is no longer operating. What a shame, this looked stunning!
Congratulations Jane and Martin, your wedding was AMAZING, one I will remember for a very long time. Keep laughing.
