About Us

Cheryl George Photography is based in Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, although I travel all over the South-East to attend weddings and photograph families.

Weddings

Shooting both in colour and black and white, I will be with you throughout the day, from the bridal preparations to your first dance as husband and wife, photographing every aspect of your wedding - the key moments, the people, the location and the details that make your day unique.

While most couples still want some of the more traditional shots of key family and friend groups, I aim to capture these as quickly as possible, leaving you to enjoy your day to the full without prolonged periods away from your guests. The rest of the day I work unobtrusively in a reportage style, capturing the joy of your wedding without interrupting your day.

From our initial meeting through to the delivery of your album, I strive to offer you a truly personal service. I like to meet with couples at the venue before the wedding in order to familiarise myself with the venue and understand exactly what you are looking for from your wedding photography. It is important to me that you have a great time on your wedding day, and that the photographs are a fun part of the day, not a chore to be endured. I learn the names of all important family and friends & ensure that they are well represented in the photos I take. I consult closely with you when designing your album in order to produce an album that you will treasure for years to come. The result is not only a personal, relaxed and beautiful record of your wedding day, but images that prompt you to remember exactly how you felt on that day.

Families

My aim is to create beautiful, natural photographs of you and your family. I often photograph families in their own homes, gardens, or at a local park. Children and babies are more likely to feel comfortable and relaxed in familiar surroundings, making the experience more enjoyable and likely to produce photographs that capture the personality of you and your children. I can also shoot studio portraits at my home in Henley on Thames, or by bringing my equipment into your own home.

I am also available for christenings, birthdays, anniversaries and parties. These special occasions offer an excellent opportunity to photograph those closest to you. Apart from weddings, these are often the only occasions that whole families gather together. Let me take the pictures while you get on with enjoying the day.
