Kathryn & Lee’s wedding at Lillibrooke Manor

I knew from photographing Kathryn & Lee’s engagement shoot that I would enjoy their wedding day.

Kathryn and Lee met at work, and were together for less than a year when Lee proposed. He’d rather sneakily broken an opal ring she wore, so that he could take it to be repaired and find out her ring size! He proposed at Blenheim Palace and Kathryn immediately agreed – she knew what a great match they were for each other, and their love for each other shone through, firstly during their earlier engagement shoot, and then wedding ceremony at the fabulous Lillibrooke Manor in Maidenhead.

Lillibrooke Manor has a lot to offer as a barn venue, with high vaulted ceilings in the main barn, a bar area at one end and perfect area for a band or DJ at the other, as well as side room for reception drinks, which avoids the need to re-set the dining area during the day.  There is also a separate building to hold the ceremony, a room for the bride and her girls to get ready, and plenty of grounds to whisk people away for photos.

Kathryn is a big fan of pink – from her hair to her dress, bridesmaids & flower-girl dresses and flowers. Her stunning dress was by Stella York from Pure Couture in Beaconsfield.

Kathryn’s make-up was done by a friend – I adored her sparkly eye shadow, and her hair was done by Nicola Hood whom I’ve enjoyed working with before. Her beautiful bouquet was put together by Herbert & Isles.

Rather than a best man, Lee had Lauren as his best woman. She’s clearly a really good friend of Lee’s, and was obviously happy that Lee had met Kathryn.

Lee is a keen photographer, so I was naturally nervous to send them the final gallery of photos, but they loved them and Kathryn sent the following lovely message:

“OMG!!!!! These photos are amazing. I full on ugly cried at them and Lee was close to tears on a few occasions too! Thank you so much! Thank you for being a part of our day and capturing so many magical moments, I will treasure these photos forever. I knew they would be amazing, but you have still blown me away.”

Kathryn and Lee, the pleasure was all mine, and I know you are both going to have a wonderful future together. Congratulations. xx
